First titles awarded on Day 1 of USA Gymnastics Championships

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (June 19, 2025) – The first set of titles were awarded on Day 1 of competition Thursday at the 2025 USA Gymnastics Championships at Amica Mutual Pavillion.


Acrobatic

Junior and senior pairs and groups earned national titles in the balance and dynamic divisions. Winners are listed below by division.

Senior
Women’s Pair, balance: Maya Lissenkova (Las Vegas, Nev./AGC Las Vegas) and Katie Borcherding (Eureka, Mo./Incentive – AGT), 29.510

Men’s Pair, dynamic: Yaroslav Ossolodkov and Vsevolod Ossolodkov of Beaumont, Calif./Incentive-AGT, 29.910

Mixed Pair, dynamic: Hailee Wong (Colton, Calif.) and Andrew Castro (Riverside, Calif) of Realis Gymnastics Academy, 28.720

Women’s Group, balance: Olivia Green (Silver Spring, Md.), Rebecca Greenberg (North Potomac, Md.) and Caylei Caldwell (Villa Ridge, Mo) of Xtreme Acro, 29.350

Junior
13-19 Women’s Pair, dynamic: Sophia Robertson (Riverside, Calif./Realis Gymnastics Academy) and Isabella Brookins (Sacramento, Calif./Realis Gymnastics Academy/Rodina Elite), 27.050

13-19 Men’s Pair, balance: Radomir Ossolodkov (Beaumont, Calif.) and Neko Sullivan (Perris, Calif.) of Incentive-AGT, 28.200

13-19 Mixed Pair, dynamic: Annabelle Chew (Chandler, Ariz.) and Tyler Berg (Phoenix, Ariz.) of Aspire Acro, 26.850

13-19 Women’s Group, balance: Juli Williams (Columbia, Md.), Carmelle Djoumgoue (Jessup, Md.) and Aubrie Cunningham (Ellicott City, Md.) of Emilia’s Acro Gymnastics and Cheer, 27.700

Additional champions will be crowned at Friday’s acrobatic competition.


Rhythmic

Junior elite athletes claimed apparatus titles on the first day of rhythmic competition in the arena. Riko Kawai (Los Angeles, Calif./Rhythmic Academy of Los Angeles) secured hoop gold with a 25.600 and Olivia Ulrich (Miami, Fla./Bessonova’s school) won the ball title with a 24.550. The junior group from North Shore Rhythmic of Nida Balsys (Northbrook, Ill.), Stefanie Filipova (Glenview, Ill.), Layla Kuzmenko (Buffalo Grove, Ill.), Eva Puzelyte (Darien, Ill.), Alexia Smith (Wilmette, Ill.) and Kaylee Zhao (Hinsdale, Ill.) won five hoops with an 18.600.

Rin Keys (Porter Ranch, Calif./Burlo Gymnastics) leads the senior all-around race with a combined 58.400 following hoop and ball qualifications Thursday evening, with Megan Chu (San Diego, Calif./Pacific Stars Rhythmic Academy) currently sitting second (56.100) and Jaelyn Chin (Aventura, Fla./Bessonova’s school) third (52.850). The USA Senior Group A lead group competition with an 18.950 on five ribbons.

Junior and senior all-around champions will be determined Friday evening after the second round of qualifying.


Trampoline and Tumbling

In Thursday’s elite qualifying competition, Ruben Padilla (Bluffdale, Utah/Wasatch Trampoline & Tumbling) was top qualifier in men’s trampoline with a 60.950, while Aliah Raga (Denton, Md./Dynamite Gymnastics) was best in women’s double mini (52.800) and Ashley Matern (Lindon, Utah/Wasatch Trampoline & Tumbling) led in women’s tumbling (50.000).

Trampolinists won their first gold medals Wednesday evening in synchronized trampoline at the Rhode Island Convention Center. Senior champions are listed below by division.

Women’s synchro: Maia Amano (Honolulu, Hawaii/Merino Trampoline Gymnastics Academy) and Leah Garafalo (Holmdel, N.J./Elite Trampoline Academy), 48.460

Men’s synchro: Isaac Rowley (Allen, Texas/Wasatch Trampoline & Tumbling) and Elijah Vogel (Longmont, Colo./Xtreme Altitude Gymnastics), 51.030

Mixed synchro: Maia Amano (Honolulu, Hawaii/Merino Trampoline Gymnastics Academy) and Ruben Padilla, 49.350

Trampoline and tumbling action continues Friday with women’s individual trampoline and men’s double mini and tumbling qualifying.
